Why Stripe only? No PayPal?
We only accept payment by bank card through Stripe — Visa, Mastercard, American Express. PayPal is not available in our shop.
Why not PayPal? For digital products like ours, PayPal gives sellers very limited protection and regularly produces unjustified disputes that hit small sellers hardest. We chose Stripe to protect our business while still giving you a fully secure payment.
What exactly is Stripe? Stripe is the world leader in online payments, used by Amazon, Shopify, Uber, Google and millions of other businesses. Your card is encrypted and never stored on our servers. Payment goes straight through the highly secured Stripe servers.

Is my payment secure?
+
Yes — fully secure. Stripe is certified PCI DSS Level 1, the highest security level for payments. Your card details never pass through our servers — they go straight from your browser to Stripe, encrypted with 256-bit SSL. We never see your card number.
✅ More than 50 million businesses worldwide trust Stripe.
Which payment methods do you accept?
+
We accept all bank cards through Stripe: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Carte Bleue, and depending on your country iDEAL, Bancontact or Klarna. PayPal is not accepted.
💳 One-click payment — no account required.
Can I pay in instalments?
+
Not available yet. Our prices start at 9,90€ and most orders fall between €29.90 and €69, which rarely calls for splitting the payment.
Can I get a refund?
+
For digital products (Damos packs, courses), no refund is possible once the file has been downloaded — that is the legal rule for digital content. If your file does not work or is corrupted, however, we fix or replace it free of charge. For bespoke maps, if the file does not match what you expected, we redo it free of charge until you are satisfied.
🔧 Problem with your file? Message us on WhatsApp — we sort it out quickly.
🏁Remapping6 questions
What is the difference between Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3?
+
Stage 1 — Software only, no mechanical changes. Result: +15 to 60 hp depending on the engine. The ideal starting point.
Stage 3 — A serious build with major changes (turbo, injection). For enthusiasts who want the maximum.
⚡ Stage 1 from €55 — most of our customers choose Stage 1.
Is my vehicle supported?
+
The vast majority of turbo petrol and turbo diesel vehicles are supported. Naturally aspirated engines, without a turbo, offer little to gain. If in doubt, send us your vehicle and engine on WhatsApp — we reply within minutes.
📩 Send us your vehicle on WhatsApp → immediate reply.
Is remapping risky for my engine?
+
A Stage 1 done properly on a vehicle in good condition carries no mechanical risk. We stay within the tolerances the manufacturer designed in. Risk only appears on engines in poor condition, or with over-aggressive stages.
✅ Every file is developed and tested. Warranty included.
I do not have a flashing tool. What can I do?
+
To flash your vehicle you need a tool: Kess V3, Autotuner, MPPS, K-Tag and so on. We sell the files, not the flashing service. Two options: buy a used tool (€200–500 on eBay and similar), or go to a local tuner who will flash our file for you.
• Turbo petrol TSI/TFSI/N55: +20 to 50 hp, +40 to 80 Nm
• Turbo diesel TDI/HDi/dCi: +20 to 40 hp, +50 to 100 Nm
Be wary of anyone quoting exact figures without knowing your vehicle — gains vary with the model, the condition of the engine and the fuel used.
Can I go back to the original file?
+
Yes, always. Before flashing, you read out the original ECU file and keep it somewhere safe. If needed, simply flash that original file back to return the car to exactly its factory state.
✅ Always keep your original file somewhere safe.
📦Delivery4 questions
How long until I receive my map?
+
For bespoke maps (Stage 1/2/3, E85): 1 to 6 hours during opening hours (10am–11pm, 7 days a week), 24 hours at the latest, counted from when we receive your ECU file. For Damos packs and courses: automatic delivery by e-mail immediately after payment confirmation.
✅ 7 days a week — weekends included.
How do I send my ECU file?
+
Three ways:
1. Through the form on the site — /en/custom-ecu-files/order/
2. By WhatsApp: +33 7 62 59 18 02, sending the .bin or .ori file directly
3. By e-mail: contact@dacodacperformance.com
Accepted formats: .bin, .ori, .hex and all standard ECU formats.
I have not received my delivery e-mail. What should I do?
+
First check your spam or junk folder — that is often where automated e-mails land. The e-mail comes from noreply@dacodacperformance.com. If nothing has arrived after 15 minutes, message us on WhatsApp with the e-mail address you ordered with and we will resend the link straight away.
My download link no longer works. What should I do?
+
MEGA and MediaFire links are permanent. If a link expires or is removed, message us on WhatsApp with the e-mail address you ordered with and we will send a new link free of charge.
A Damos file (.a2l) is an ECU definition file that lets WinOLS or ECM Titanium automatically find and name every map inside an ECU. Without a Damos you see raw maps with no idea what each value does. With one, everything is labelled and readable.
📦 Our 800 GB pack holds 500,000+ Damos files across all makes.
What is the difference between the Damos packs?
+
40 GB Damos pack (€8.90) — the entry point, to get your hands dirty without investing.
108 GB Damos and tune pack (€19.90) — Damos plus a few tune files: the sensible compromise for a beginner.
800 GB Damos pack (€29.90) — A2L Damos, in volume. This is the one that identifies the widest range of ECUs.
1 TB Damos Mega Pack (€39) — maximum volume, Damos and assorted files.
Tune Megapack V2 (€35) et V1 (€45) — these are not Damos but ready-to-use Stage 1/2/3 tune files. Both together: €69 instead of €80.
Beware the gigabyte trap: size tells you nothing about what is inside. The 772 GB pack costs more (€49) than the 800 GB one despite weighing less, because it holds far fewer Damos but adds original Bosch software, VW master EPROMs, professional tuner calibrations and manufacturer documentation. Fewer gigabytes does not mean less useful content. It is currently sold out.
If you are starting out → begin with the 800 GB pack. If you want tune bases → take a Tune Megapack.
Do the courses include WinOLS?
+
Our courses teach you to use WinOLS — the software itself is not included, a separate WinOLS licence is required. The course covers importing an ECU file, loading a Damos, finding and editing the key maps for injection, boost and ignition, checking the checksum and preparing the file for flashing.
I am a complete beginner. Where should I start?
+
The recommended path for a beginner:
1. Flashing tool guide (€9.90) — pick the right flashing tool
2. ECM Titanium course (€29.90) — your first steps in remapping
3. 800 GB Damos pack (€29.90) — a complete ECU database
4. Complete WinOLS course (€49.90) — master advanced remapping
🎓 Full path total: €119.70 to become self-sufficient.
⚖️Legal & warranty4 questions
Is remapping legal?
+
Engine remapping is legal, but it changes the technical characteristics of the vehicle. For use on public roads in France, that change must in principle go through an individual vehicle approval (article L.318-3 of the French Highway Code) and be declared to your insurer. Failing that, use stays limited to the track and private roads. Rules differ from one country to the next — check what applies where you live before ordering.
✅ Fully reversible: you keep your original file and can flash it back at any time.
Does it void my manufacturer warranty?
+
A remap can void the manufacturer warranty on the engine itself. In practice the manufacturer has to show that the remap caused the failure before refusing to cover it, which is difficult for a fault unrelated to the engine. One point matters: the operation is reversible. You keep your original file and can flash it back at any time to return the vehicle to its factory state. If your vehicle is still under warranty, weigh it up before going ahead.
What about my insurance?
+
A change to the vehicle's characteristics must be declared to your insurer. This is not a box-ticking formality: after an accident, an undeclared modification can mean a reduced payout, or cover refused altogether for misrepresentation. Most insurers accept a declared remap, sometimes with a higher premium. One phone call before ordering saves an unpleasant surprise afterwards.
We rework the file as many times as it takes, at no extra cost. If no working file can be delivered for your vehicle, you get a full refund. Damos packs and courses are delivered as they are — if a link does not work, we replace it without delay.
